A 120-bed hospital opened in District 15 of Tehran Municipality in the presence of Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, on Monday. Established on land area of 9,000 sq meters, the ‘Shohada-ye-Gomnam’ hospital has wards in emergency, neonatal, dialysis, women, MRI, children, orthopedics, psychiatric, surgery as well as ICU, CCU units, IRNA reported. Construction of the hospital, affiliated to Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, started two years ago. The state-run hospital located near Khorasan Square will help improve access to healthcare services for people in the city’s working-class southern regions.
