The social deputy at Tehran Municipality (TM) said it has arranged various programs for the mourning holiday of Arbaeen (December 13), the 40th day of commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS). Meysam Amroodi said part of the program is to stage a ceremony at Imam Hussein (AS) Square to see off the caravans bound for Karbala. The municipality has deployed ambulances at three checkpoints along the border, Amroodi said and added that free makeshift stalls had been set up to render services to pilgrims, reports ISNA.
