Floods Hit 6 Provinces

Heavy rainfall in several parts of the country since Friday caused flooding in six provinces of East Azarbaijan, Isfahan, Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari, Zanjan, Qazvin, and Hamedan. Rescue and relief teams were sent to nine affected counties including Hashtrud and Maragheh (East Azarbaijan), Kouhpayeh (Isfahan), Kouhrang (Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari), Mah Neshan and Khodabandeh (Zanjan), Takestan and Qazvin (Qazvin) and Tuyserkan (Hamedan), said Behnam Saeedi, spokesperson of the Crisis Management Organization on Sunday, IRNA reported. The teams rescued 78 people caught in the floods and drained flood waters from 45 residential units, he said. No loss of human loss was reported.
