An official at the FDA announced that sale of antibiotics in pharmacies without prescription is illegal. Dr. Fatemeh Soleimani quoted by ISNA warned against sales of antibiotics without the doctor’s prescription and if any violations take place the pharmacies will be “officially admonished.” She said the most prescribed antibiotic in the country is amoxicillin.
