Pediatric Deaddiction Centers

Drug deaddiction centers have opened in six pediatric hospitals across the country for children and adolescents, said the deputy head of the Health Ministry’s Mental and Social Health Office. “The centers are running under a pilot project, and psychological support services are also offered to addicted children and adolescents by specialists and child therapists,” Ali Asadi told ISNA. He said a program to take care of addicted mothers with newborns hooked on drugs, is underway at public hospitals.
