Assistance for Norouz Travelers

More than four million Norouz tourists called on safety and health stations set up by the Youth Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society. “During March 15-31, a total of 4.5 million people used services provided by the health stations in areas related to health, safety, navigation direction and cultural information,” said the deputy head of the organization, Masoud Asima. An estimated 20,000 volunteers at 1,000 IRCS teams were on duty during the Persian New Year (Norouz) holidays (March 20-April 2) across major roads to provide emergency help, IRNA reported. The teams were stationed in IRCS tents at entrance and exit points of every city during the annual holiday season.
