The Iranian Physiotherapy Association (IPTA) will implement a screening program for skeletal and muscular diseases in all children in kindergartens across the country, based on a memorandum of understanding signed with the State Welfare Organization. “The IPTA will identify neurological, skeletal, muscular disorders and disabilities in children and offer physiotherapy and rehabilitation as well as measures to prevent the medical condition,” said Anoushiravan Mohseni Bandpei, head of the SWO. The MoU is binding for two years, but will be extended if need be, ISNA reports. There are about 17,000 kindergartens in Iran.
