Visits to Elderly

The Volunteers Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society is offering philanthropic services to uplift the spirits of the elderly at assisted living facilities during the 15-day holidays of the Iranian New Year ‘Norouz’. The volunteer teams will visit 10,000 elderly people at nursing homes across the country who do not have their children or family members visiting them, and offer them “a sense of love and belonging” during the traditional holiday that is normally spent by family members together, IRNA reported. The organization is also setting up 113 centers across Iran to provide a platform for volunteer services, including medical assistance.
