MRI Ward at Varamin Hospital

A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) ward was opened at Shahid Mofatteh hospital located in Varamin in the southern part of Tehran Province on Tuesday. More than $1.2 million (45 billion rials) was allocated for adding the ward to the hospital, IRNA quoted Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, as saying. “The facility will offer MRI services at low costs,” he said. MRI uses a powerful magnetic field, radio frequency pulses and a computer to produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, bone and virtually all other internal body structures.
