60% of Cancer Screening Centers Ready

More than 100 screening and early detection centers have been planned under the national project in cancer prevention, said Dr. Ali Motlaq, head of the Cancer Office at the Health Ministry. “While 60% of the screening centers for different forms of the disease are ready, the construction of treatment centers has not started yet, since decisions about their appropriate locations in different provincial capitals,” is still being evaluated, IRNA quoted him as saying. Different medical services including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgeries, MRI and CT scan will be offered at the treatment centers, he added.
