The biggest state-run educational hospital in the western part of the country opened in Sanandaj, capital city of Kordestan Province on Monday in the presence of Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi. A budget of $426 million (1,620 billion rials) was allocated for construction of the 10-storey hospital with 540 beds. The project started in 2009 and the hospital 'Kowsar-e Sanandaj' has been established on a land area of 54,000 sq meters, IRNA reported. Sanandaj has a population of half million.
