Health & Sanitation Checks for Norouz

A total of 1,000 health and sanitation inspectors will be mobilized to inspect public places across the country ahead of the Persian New Year (Norouz) holidays in March. “The Norouz Environment Health Inspection Program started on February 19, and will continue till the end of Norouz holidays on April 1,” said Mohsen Farhadi, technical deputy head at the Health Ministry’s work and environment health department. All food supply chains and stores will also be under strict monitoring during Norouz, ISNA reported. The plan aims to safeguard people’s health by ensuring public places maintain hygiene, including restaurants, accommodation facilities, gas stations, parks, and roadside facilities, during the long break. People can report any violations of the health regulations to the hotlines 1490 and 190.
