The deputy director of nursing services at the ministry of health said new measures have been taken “to improve the conditions” for staff nurses. Mohammad Mirza-beigi said ‘’organizing and classifying the patients and placing the nurses according to their needs” was one newly-introduced reform. Organizing nursing uniforms was another reform that was finalized, he said. Mirza-beigi added that salaries of nurses have also been hiked but problems still exist, including the shortage of staff nurses.
