National Meet on Burn Injuries

New methods of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries to treat burn scars on face, neck, hands and feet, and treatment of health complications as a result of burn injuries, were among the topics for discussion at the 6th national conference on burn injuries. Around 500 national experts are attending the two-day meet that began Wednesday at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Khorasan Razavi Province. “From 166 articles received by the secretariat, 100 have been accepted, of which 50 will be presented at the congress,” said plastic surgeon Dr. Mohammad Hassan Amuzegar, head of the confab and member of Iranian Society of Plastic Surgeons, IRNA reported. Recovery diet in burn injuries and skin bank, are also topics to be discussed, he added.
