Nursing has become one of the five most wanted majors in the country, said Ali Dadgari, director of the Health Ministry’s nursing department for empowerment, promotion, and incorporation of human capital.
“Due to shortage of nurses, there is a job guarantee in the field after completion of studies, and that is why more students are interested in choosing this major,” he told a press conference on Monday, IRNA reported.
In the past ten years, nursing was one of the 30 most wanted fields, but now it has jumped to the top ten places.
“There is a dire need for more nurses in the country in the next 10 years at least,” he noted.
