Heavy Rainfall Again

Six southern provinces namely Sistan- Baluchestan, Kerman, Hormozgan, Fars, Bushehr and Khuzestan, will again see heavy rainfall from Wednesday, says the Iran Meteorological Organization (IMO). In Tehran, Tabriz, Qom, Isfahan, and Karaj cities, air pollution is expected to reach a critical point over the next few days, said Kourosh Mohammadpour, an expert at IMO, who urged children and senior citizens to stay indoors. “Other people should also reduce their physical activities due to air pollution,” he said, Alef News Agency reported. Moreover, avalanches are likely to occur in the northern parts of the country which saw heavy snowfall in the past weeks, as the temperatures rise in the next few days.
