The 84th Tehran Derby on Sunday evening saw clashes between a number of soccer fans, causing tension and physical confrontations between supporters of the two prominent Tehran clubs. In the aftermath of the game, 103 people were injured in brawls while four were admitted to hospital for further treatment, said Dr Esmaeil Farahani, technical deputy of Tehran Emergency Services on Monday, Mehr News Agency reported. Also known as the Red-Blue Derby, the major cross-town derby in the Persian Gulf Pro League and one of the hottest in the world, was held in the presence of 80,000 spectators in the capital Tehran.
