    Cancer Rising Faster in Women

In the next 20 years, cancer rates will climb nearly six times faster in women than in men, as obesity hits women harder, according to data published by the UK Cancer Research Center.

The center urged women to “cut out the treats” in a bid to reduce their risk of disease, warning that obesity is second only to smoking as the biggest preventable cause of cancer, the Independent reported.

The cancer rates will rise by around 0.5% for men and 3% for women in UK.

Around 30% of Iranian women and 17% of Iranian men are obese (have a BMI of 30 or greater). Currently, 48% of Iranians between the ages 15 and 64 have a BMI over 25.
