The 6th Heart & New Technologies, 1st Cardioendocrine, and 2nd Neurocardiology joint congress will be held February 2-3 at Niroo Research Institute in Tehran, said Dr Masoud Eslami, its scientific secretary. “Given the link between cardiovascular and neurological diseases, this year’s edition will have specialized workshops on heart, glands, and neurology,” he said, Mehr News Agency reported.The close links between various health fields will be discussed at the event organized by the Iranian Society of Atherosclerosis, Iran’s Neurology Association, and Iran Endocrine Society.Common diseases such as underactive and overactive thyroids and their commonalities with heartbeat rate and heart rhythm disorders are among other areas of focus.
