Police are investigating Saturday night’s acid attacks by two motorcyclists on hospital manager Dr. Siamand Anvari near Vanak sq in Tehran. The police website said the victim was returning home from work when he was attacked. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to ISNA, Minister of Health Hassan Hashemi who visited Anvari in hospital said ‘’fortunately, the victim’s right eye has been successfully operated and his left eye will also recover through simple medication.’’
