Prominent Maxillofacial Surgeons to Attend Iran Congress

Prominent global surgeons and specialists will gather in Tehran on February 7-10 to participate in the 15th International Congress of Iranian Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

“Fifteen keynote speakers from Belgium, Germany, India, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, as well as the US will address the conference,” said Dr Reza Sharifi, executive secretary of the event.

The list includes Dr. Edward Ellis and Dr. Daniel Laskin from the US, Dr. Maurice Yves Mommaerts from Belgium, and Dr.Dhirendra Srivastava from India.

Ten educational implant surgeries will be performed live on the sidelines of the 4-day conference.

“This year’s congress promotes the slogan of TTT (or 3Ts), which are technique, technology and trend in oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery and otolaryngology,” Sharifi said, Mehr News Agency reported.

There are 300 oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Iran, and 100 medical graduates are currently finishing their residency period in the field.
