A deputy at the health ministry announced plans to include ‘’population growth’’ under the Health Reform Plan. Ali Akbar Sayyari quoted by ISNA said ‘’one of the 11 packages in the reform plan is devoted exclusively to population growth.’’ He said from the $200 million that has been allocated for increasing population growth rate, a portion will be utilized by the health ministry. ‘’Free infertility treatment for couples is part of the package,’’ Sayyari said.
