The State Welfare Organization has set up a hotline at 1480 to provide post-traumatic counseling services to anyone affected by the tragic Plasco incident in Tehran on Thursday. The 17-story Plasco high-rise in the capital city collapsed on January 19 following a blaze, trapping over 30 people including business owners, reporters, and firefighters under rubble. “Right now 10 teams of psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, and social workers have been formed and are ready to help people cope with the tragedy,” said Majid Rezazadeh, a senior official at the SWO. The teams are stationed at all firefighting stations across the city in addition to four social emergency vans at the incident site, IRNA reported. Almost 80 hours after the structure collapsed, only two bodies have been retrieved from under the tons of twisted concrete and iron.
