A total of 30 million vials of vaccine for foot-and-mouth disease will be produced by Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute by the end of the current fiscal year in March. “There is no concern regarding meeting the local demand through domestic supply,” said Dr Hassan Izadi, director of the production line, IRNA reported. So far over 21 million vials have been delivered to the Iran Veterinarian Organization. The vaccines are produced in cooperation with Ronak Pharmaceuticals Company. Razi Institute is known for its production of anti-venom serums derived from snake and scorpion venom.
