Iran is among the top ten countries in terms of vaccine production, according to head of Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute.
“The country is the only one in the Middle East producing human, livestock and poultry vaccines,” said Hamid Kahram, IRNA reported.
Other countries in the region that have made remarkable strides in the field are Turkey, Malaysia and Pakistan, but they still lag in terms of producing human and poultry vaccines.
Under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Razi Institute is known as one of the oldest and most reputed scientific centers in Iran. Razi institute is a center of research, training and technical assistance for vaccines needed in developing countries and the Middle East.
