    Fars Quake Relief Operations

    Nearly 200 households in villages in Khonj County, Fars Province, that were affected by the earthquake on Friday were provided emergency services including sleep-in tents. “Around 176 tents were provided to families in Seyfabad, Takhteh, Kheyrabad, and Chahtala by 9 pm on Friday,” said Hassan Fayyazbakhsh, director of the Crisis Management Department at the Fars Governorate, IRNA reported. Electricity, water and telephone lines that were cut off in the quake were reconnected by 10 am on Saturday, he said. The quake measuring 5.1 degrees on the Richter scale killed four people and injured one, all of whom were Afghan nationals.
