At the 23rd Bazaar of Slovenia’s International Women’s Club Ljubljana, known as SILA-IWCL 2016, Iran had a huge presence with its popular pavilion offering various types of Persian foods, pastries, and handicrafts.

The bazaar is the IWCL’s biggest annual charity event. Over the last two decades it has donated more than a million Euros to various Slovenian organizations and individuals and helped renovate kitchens in homeless shelters, build music rooms for kids, as well as support to needy women.

Over 30 countries including Australia, Brazil, Cyprus, Egypt, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, and the US attended the charity event.

This year’s theme was ‘Women and children: Victims of Violence.’ The proceeds of the bazaar will be distributed to five local charity projects to assist women and child victims of violence, according to Sila.si.
