The secretariat of the First International Congress of Citizenship Rights is holding a public contest on citizenship rights in the Iranian constitution, said event secretary Moones Keshavarz. The contest began on the Iran National Constitution Day (Dec. 2), and will run through February. “Every Iranian can participate by sending a clear definition of citizenship rights as explained through relevant articles in the constitution with a maximum of 100 words,” she told IRNA. “The constitution is the national identity of every country through which the basic citizenship rights are explicated,” Keshavarz noted. The first round of the international congress will be held in mid-February 2017 in cooperation with a number of state bodies.
