Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Seri Kembangan, Malaysia is slated to host the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Development Forum on December 19-23 this year.

The five-day event is in collaboration with Iran’s Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation (MSTF), and aims to provide a platform for outstanding Muslim scientists to cooperate with each other.

The event will be attended by renowned Muslim scientists from across the world, including Prof. Jackie Ying from Singapore and Prof. Omar Yaghi from Jordan, the laureates of the first edition of the Mustafa Prize held last year.

The forum will discuss global science as the universal language of peace and welfare and ways to boost scientific cooperation among Muslim nations, mustafaprize.org reported.

Instituted by Iran in 2013, the Mustafa Foundation is based in Pardis Technology Park in Tehran. The science and technology award is granted biennially to top researchers and scientists from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.
