Samii Awarded Honorary Title at Zagreb Varsity

At the International Zagreb Neurosurgery Symposium on Thursday, the world-renowned Iranian-German neurosurgeon Professor Majid Samii was awarded the title of honorary professor of University of Zagreb for his vast contribution to the university in the field of neurosurgery. The symposium was held in Zagreb, Croatia, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary celebration of the Neurosurgery Department at the University Hospital of Zagreb. Samii was the main keynote speaker, IRNA reported. Samii and his son, Amir Samii, in their speeches discussed the latest achievements and new methods in the field of neurosurgery. On the sidelines of the event, Samii said he is also trying to promote neurosurgery in African countries as the World Health Organization’s Ambassador for Africa as well as the Continental African Association of Neurosurgery Societies.
