The Cyber Police of Iran has warned families about the growing number of online threats facing young adolescents in the country. “A large number of teenagers are getting trapped playing online games with strangers, which prepares the ground for online blackmailing, gambling, and physical and psychological damages,” said Colonel Ali Niknafs, director of the Detection and Prevention Department at Iran Cyber Police. Noting that most online criminals look for their prey among teenagers on the internet, he urged parents to be mindful of their children’s engagements and hold regular dialogues regarding their daily life and activities, Mehr News Agency reported.
