The first National Congress of Successful Iranian Women will be held on January 25 at Tehran’s Olympics Hotel.
“In line with article 31 of the next five-year economic and social development plan (2016-2021) which calls for harnessing women’s potential, the congress aims to reach gender balance and equity in the society, and make possible sustainable development by incorporating women in the most important decision-making processes,” said Sorayya Shareqi, director of Women and Family Affairs Office at the Tehran Governorate General.
The congress aims to explore the obstacles and solutions to female management and leadership and will be held in cooperation with the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, universities, and ministries, Mehr News Agency reported.
International cooperation with successful female personalities and offering management and leadership courses will also be discussed at the event.
