Int’l IDs for the Disabled

All physically challenged people will be issued an international ID card by mid 2017, according to the head of the State Welfare Organization. “The cards have been issued for 400 people so far, and the remaining 1.2 million under the coverage of the SWO will receive their cards by September next year,” said Anoushiravan Mohseni Bandpei at the 22nd Press Exhibition in Tehran on Friday, Mehr News Agency reported. The cards contain information on the kind and level of disability and enable access to facilities for the target group, including legal exemptions, loans, domestic and international transportation services in and outside the country.
