The head of the Food and Drug Administration Rasoul Dinarvand announced “the nutrition guideline” list for food products. From the viewpoint of the health ministry, the products mentioned in the list aren’t contraindicated; but they shouldn’t be consumed in excess. “For instance, too much consumption of fizzy drinks is not healthy but its occasional consumption is not banned,” he said.
The list of the harmful products has been given to a workgroup to be finalized. “Our purpose is to increase the products’ value-added costs. So purchasing harmful products will be costlier than healthy products,” he said quoted by Mehr News Agency.
