Vice-President for Science and Technology Affairs Dr. Sourena Sattari has announced “de-nitrification system will be established in the near future to remove nitrate from water” through electro-biochemical methods. Although this method is expensive and costly, however, “it can eliminate our concerns about the quality of drinking water,” Mehr News agency quoted Rahmatollah Hafezi, head of Tehran City Council (TCC) committee on health and municipal services, as saying.
