Iran 7th in World Nanotech

Iran ranked 1st in the Middle East and 7th in the world in nanotechnology according to Elsevier’s Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, said Chancellor of Kharazmi University of Karaj, Alborz Province. “Creating the proper environment for research, providing the required opportunities to advance in nanotechnology and exchanging knowledge with other leading nations, are necessary for sustainable development,” said Mohammad Ali Sobhanollahi at the 6th International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICNN). He referred to the national macro policies which focus on target-based researches to attain nanotech achievements, and stressed that universities must pay due attention to this particular field of science and technology, IRNA reported.
