Also 58% of all road accidents victims are also under 50, said Iraj Harirchi, deputy health minister at a press conference on Monday. “Last year (ended March 19), 1.5 million births and 385,000 deaths were registered across the country,” IRNA quoted him as saying. Premature deaths are deaths that occur before a person reaches the average age of life expectancy in a country, which is 70 years in Iran, he said.
