National Health Carnival

The National Health Carnival comprising 10 cyclists and a number of artists and athletes has begun touring across the country. The group arrived in Yazd Province Sunday morning. The carnival aims to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS and promote a culture of healthy lifestyle through street performances, IRNA reported. The tour began in Rafsanjan in Kerman Province, and after passing through Yazd the members will visit Isfahan, Qom, and Tehran provinces. The group will attend the “Family, Children, Art, and HIV” festival in Tehran on Friday, October 28. A meeting with Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi and his deputy ministers has also been planned to discuss ways to develop and promote HIV/AIDS education in the country.
