The Health Ministry is planning to change nursing methods currently taught in medical universities across the country, said Deputy Health Minister for Nursing Mohammad Mirzabeigi. “The current teaching practice is the functional method, which is planned to be replaced with the case method,” he said, as reported by the ministry’s news agency ‘WEBDA’. A type of nursing care delivery system, the case method is patient-centered and has found to be a success worldwide. The method has been proved to increase the quality of care and patient satisfaction by a large margin compared with other methods.
