By the end of the current government’s tenure (in July 2017) 40 more hospitals will be constructed and equipped across the country, said a deputy minister for roads and urban development. “The number of beds added will be 4,600 once the hospitals are inaugurated,” said Mohammad Jafar Alizadeh on Friday, IRNA reported. A total of 163 projects including medical centers and hospitals were launched after President Hassan Rouhani took office in 2013. These projects added an average of 3,412 hospital beds every year and so far 71% of the projects with 10,236 beds have been completed.
