In the first six months of the current Iranian year (began March 20), more than 400,000 calls were made to the hotline for public complaints against the police, said the chief of Law Enforcement Police. “Our forces have tried to follow up on 90% of these calls,” said Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari on Thursday, ILNA reported. The hotline can be reached at 197 to file a complaint about the policies and the services provided by the police, or about the conduct of a police officer employed by the LEF. Also, a total of 13.4 million calls were made to police stations across the country with public complaints, Ashtari added.
