Varsity Training Program in Fetal Surgery

Fetal surgery fellowship training program has been recently launched in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS), said Dr Ashraf Al Yasin, head of the 15th International Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Explaining the new programs she said, “Fetal surgery, a procedure in which surgery is performed on an unborn baby, is conducted in some conditions to improve the long-term outcome after delivery,” IRNA reported. She said the congress from October 5-8 at Tehran’s International Razi Conference Hall, will discuss subjects such as fetal problems and pregnancy complications like hypertension, bleeding, and infections.
