Nanosensor to Measure Vitamin CNanosensor to Measure Vitamin C

Iranian researchers at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and Urmia University in West Azarbaijan Province have designed a nanosensor which is able to measure low amounts of vitamin C in the body. The team of researchers used nanotechnology to design a sensor that is more accurate and faster than other similar products, reports Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC). The aim of the research was to design and produce a sensor that detects low amounts of vitamin C in blood serum and urine. The nanosensor enables quick and accurate detection of low amount of vitamin C in biological media and also has high selectivity for other materials existing in blood and urine. Results of the research have been published in the world-famous Dutch journal of Elsevier: Materials Science and Engineering.
