Under a number of memoranda of understanding, Iran will export medicinal herbs to three countries namely Singapore, Iraq and Afghanistan, said director for technology exchange at the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology. “Thanks to its immense diversity in plant species, Iran has long been an exporter of medicinal herbs to countries such as Pakistan, the UAE, China, Japan and Germany,” said Malek Saeidi, Mehr News Agency reported.

Noting that the packaging techniques for medicinal herbs have improved over the years, he said the entire process is on par with the standards requested by each country. “The Vice Presidency invites delegations from countries such as Singapore, Iraq and Afghanistan, to familiarize them with our top knowledge-based companies in the field of herbal medicine,” he noted.
