Iran Crisis Management Organization (CMO) was granted a medal for partnership in relief and rescue operations from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situation at the end of the Navy Maneuver of the Caspian Sea littoral states from September 20-24 in Astrakhan in southern Russia. Russian Minister of Emergency Situation Vladimir Puchkov handed the medal to head of Iran’s CMO Esmaeil Najjar on Saturday who received it on behalf of the Iranian personnel taking part in the maneuvers, IRNA reported. In addition to the medal, a certificate of merit was also granted by the five littoral states of the Caspian Sea to Najjar, who doubles as the deputy interior minister for crisis management. The coastlines of the Caspian are shared by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Iran. The next naval maneuver will be held in Azerbaijan Republic next year.
