Tehran and Havana signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday to promote bilateral cooperation on medical and pharmaceutical activities. The MoU was signed between Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi and the Cuban Minister of Public Health, Roberto Morales Ojeda, IRNA reported. Hashemi was in Havana as part of a high-ranking official delegation headed by President Hassan Rouhani which was on a two-day visit to Cuba, IRNA reported. Iranian and Cuban officials also signed agreements for collaboration in the health, education and science sectors.
