A deputy at the ministry of education said a plan is in the offing to make reading among primary school students part of the curriculum. Hamid Reza Kaffashi told ISNA that $100,000 has been allocated in the new academic year to equip school libraries. He added that 50,000 book fairs are to be launched across schools.
