A national web portal on leisure-time activities for youth is ready and will be unveiled by the end of autumn, said director general of national youths projects at the Ministry of Sports and Youths Affairs. “The portal’s trial run is now over and it has been reassessed and revised to best meet the needs of youths in the country,” Mohsen Talayi Mahani told Mehr News Agency. The portal seeks to organize leisure time of the youth through various programs, including affordable tourism. The project will be implemented with the cooperation of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICCHTO) and local municipalities. Appropriate leisure activities for youth will help curb social ills such as drug abuse, juvenile delinquency and other unacceptable behavior.
