Toxins Can be Neutralized

Health problems caused by air pollution can be alleviated. Some foods neutralize the effect of toxins in the air. When polluted air is inhaled, free radicals are produced in the body and plenty of antioxidants are required to defend their assault. Free radicals reduce a person’s ability to perform daily living tasks, Salamat news agency reported.

To minimize their harmful effects, intake of antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables including cantaloupe, mangoes, pumpkins, peppers, spinach, cabbage and apricots, can be effective.

Also fruits including apple, orange and strawberries which are rich in pectin fiber absorb lead and prevent its entry into body cells.

Finally adequate water consumption during the day helps pollutants exit the body.
