The First International Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Surgeries Congress will be held from October 25-28 at Tehran Shahid Beheshti University. Organized by Tehran’s Avicenna Research Center in cooperation with the UK’s Center for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynecology, the event aims to look at etiology and diagnosis methods of endometriosis, ISNA reported. Endometriosis, in which the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of it, is one of the most common and expensive disorders to treat. The condition has affected nearly 180 million women in the world so far. Diagnosis, classification and treatment of endometriosis are among the topics to be discussed.
